A commissioner of oaths may administer an oath or affirmation when you declare that the contents of an eligible document are true. The signer must normally appear in person and sign as directed during the appointment.

What to bring

• The complete document, preferably unsigned
• Valid, unexpired government-issued photo identification
• Any instructions supplied by the court, government office or receiving organization
• Required exhibits or supporting documents
